Turmoil
Very excited to announce a new series of paintings I call “Turmoil”. I’ll be starting with about 8 nautical themed works all roughly the same size, 8”x10”. Focusing on the power and freedom of the ocean, the dangers involved with that freedom, and the unrelenting natural draw mankind has to the sea, I aim to capture the turbulent waves and the souls of those braving them.
I will be drawing from my experiences of growing up in a family of professional/commercial fishermen and spending much of my childhood either on a boat, in the water, or hearing stories of dad’s adventures, as well as my own journeys soul-searching along the California and Oregon coasts, this will be a body of work very close to my heart.
By keeping the paintings small, quick, and a standard size I’m trying to simplify processes and keep the costs really reasonable. I’m aiming to share my work with as many people as I can, stay tuned for a very cool show I’m working on for my display space.
