Haunting

The next installment of my series has arrived with the forests of “Haunting”. Based in an ash covered expanse of smoldering trees, this newest piece presents the serpentine-like beast that prowls through the remnants of vegetation.

As a continuation of the concept, our ash creature acts as a neutral personification of the natural environment in which it inhabits. A mythological being that exists both physically and metaphorically to explain the phenomena and dangers relentlessly shifting through the world around us. The creature is claimed to be seen by the neighboring populations following the events of wildfire, known as a bringer of death and destruction, but also regrowth and fertilization.

I only have one piece left to polish off my creatures, and it involves a very interesting setting. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working on these guys and further solidifying concepts and ideas.
