Fall

Fall

I’ve been focusing more on my nautical, ocean work recently, but after going on my first night hike since moving to Utah I was powerfully reminded of that passion I have for the unknown. The natural, primal, sensation you feel when biological fear kicks in fascinates me.

Whether it’s from loving parents and communities or horror movies and the media, there are many learned fears we are taught throughout our lives. I’ve found that by breaking down the layers of fear to that primal base level, like walking in the woods alone at night, it provides a refreshing, connecting experience. Such experiences have brought me closer to my creator, helped me understand myself, instilled confidence, and provided me with the respect I ought to hold for the earth.
